Capital Four announces three new experienced hires as it continues to expand its US footprint and global investment capabilities


Capital Four, an independent credit asset management boutique, today announced the hiring of Ami Dogra, Joe Sorensen and Aasir Khan who will be located in the newly established New York office adding significant resources to the US investment team and operation functions. 

Ami and Aasir will join the US Fundamental Credit Research team responsible for specific US sector coverage. As assistant portfolio manager and lead analyst Ami will also support Jim Wiant, portfolio manager and CEO of Capital Four US, in the security selection and portfolio management process. Joe Sorensen will be heading up the operations team in his role as Head of Finance & Operations.

Ami brings more than 20 years of industry experience including 16 years of fundamental credit buy side experience across loans, high yield, CLOs and distressed credit. Before joining Capital Four, Ami was most recently a Senior Sector Analyst at the Credit Investment team of Citadel focusing on high yield and stressed and distressed credits and with a focus on the retail and consumer sectors. Prior to this, she has held similar positions at Lodge Hill Capital and most notably BlueMountain where she spent nearly 11 years. Before this she was a Senior High Yield Analyst at Seix Advisors. Ami also has prior experience with credit research on the sell side at Credit Suisse and J.P. Morgan. In her prior roles Ami has been strongly involved in mentorships and the development of female talent. 

Joe brings more than 20 years of industry experience within investment operations, system integration and compliance. Joe’s most recent position was as Director at MacKay Shields where he was responsible for middle and back office functions with daily oversight responsibility for CLOs and global fixed income strategies. Prior to this Joe spent 14 years at Shenkman Capital Management in various roles most recently as Director of Operations responsible for the day to day oversight of 30 employees across the middle & back office, Information Technology, and Development teams. Joe has also previously held positions at SB Capital and Arthur Andersen. 

Aasir joins Capital Four from Blue Torch Capital where he sourced, underwrote, and managed distressed & special situations direct loans as a sector generalist. Prior to Blue Torch, he spent over 4 years at MidOcean Credit Partners as an investment analyst focused on fundamental credit analysis of high yield bonds and leveraged loans across investment mandates, including CLOs, long-only, and opportunistic credit.  Aasir began his career as a high yield credit analyst at TIAA Asset Management after graduating from Cornell University.

Capital Four will over the coming period add an additional four hires to the US based team. The team will support the existing 3bn+ USD AuM in global assets and will also be responsible for issuing US CLOs and manage a US High Yield strategy which will complement the existing European CLO and European and Global High Yield presence.
