Press Release
17.10.2023

We are happy to announce that Capital Four US will sub-manage the Nordea 1 – International High Yield Bond Fund, which is a daily liquidity UCITS Global High Yield Fund on the Nordea platform. The Fund was launched in 2012 and Capital Four replaces the incumbent investment manager effective as of August 2023.

The Fund will be managed by Jim Wiant, CEO, Partner and Portfolio Manager at Capital Four US and Ami Dogra, Managing Director and Co-PM. Jim Wiant joined Capital Four in 2021 from MidOcean Credit Partners and has built up a US team of 14 experienced professionals with significant industry experience averaging more than 14 years. Ami Dogra also joined Capital Four in 2021 from Citadel and has previously held roles at BlueMountain Capital and Lodge Hill.

The Fund will also benefit from the wider Capital Four platform, resources, and European credit selection capabilities with more than 20 years of experience in managing liquid credit strategies. Commenting on the new mandate for Capital Four, Jim Wiant stated: “We are very excited to start managing the Nordea-1 International High Yield Bond Fund. It is a natural step for us as we continue to build out the liquid US platform and is a great fit with our capabilities. At the same time the UCITS structure is well-suited for distribution to our European client base.

Capital Four US manages $3 billion across credit strategies including CLOs, global high yield mandates and opportunistic mandates for institutional investors. Capital Four team already manages two other funds on the Nordea platform – the Nordea 1 - European High Yield Bond Fund since 2001 and the Nordea 1 – Flexible Credit Fund.
